When I was seven years old living in Caracas, Venezuela, my Dad asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up. I replied: “Play with LEGO forever”. He said: “Maybe you should be an architect”.

As I grew up, I learned I had a passion for making drawings and appreciating beautiful designs of all types.

By the time I was ready to start my University studies, I realized what I really wanted to do was design homes. I wanted to create space and furnishings for people to enjoy and take pleasure in. I worked in Caracas in the design field starting around 1987 and then concentrated in residential design at Jose Maria University and earned a Masters in Architecture in 1991. I worked as an architect and businesswoman in Caracas for the next 9 years.

In 2000, I moved to NYC. I love New York.

I’ve renovated and restored apartments and houses and designed new construction townhouses with a strong focus on the interiors.

I love the challenges, the problem solving, and the learning in my profession. I believe Architecture is about balance: the balance between form and function, between creative and practical, and between the built and natural environment.
